At Ohmyoga on Vesterbro, Copenhagen, Pilates Sculpt combines the principles of Mat Pilates with a more dynamic approach to strength and endurance. Every class is designed to challenge your body while staying true to the precision, control and quality of movement that define Pilates.
Our Pilates Sculpt classes are taught in English and welcome both locals and international members, creating an inclusive and supportive community for everyone.
Both Mat Pilates and Pilates Sculpt are built on the same core Pilates principles: control, precision, breath and mindful movement. The difference lies in how your body is challenged.
Mat Pilates focuses on building a strong foundation through controlled movements that improve core strength, stability, mobility and body awareness. Every exercise is performed with intention, placing quality of movement above speed or intensity.
Pilates Sculpt builds on the foundations of classical Pilates by incorporating light weights, ankle weights and resistance bands. The added resistance increases the challenge while preserving the precision and control that define Pilates. Whether you prefer training on the mat or on the reformer, you’ll find a Pilates Sculpt class at Ohmyoga designed to challenge your body with intention and control.
At Ohmyoga in Copenhagen, Pilates Sculpt is still Pilates at its core. The movements remain controlled, the focus stays on technique, and every class is designed to help you move with greater strength, confidence and awareness.
BOOK YOUR CLASSPilates Sculpt builds on the principles of classical Pilates, adding extra challenge through equipment such as dumbbells, ankle weights and resistance bands.
This class is ideal if you're looking for more variety and a slightly more challenging Pilates workout.
You'll work the entire body while developing strength, stability, balance and body control.
Pilates Sculpt is performed on the mat, while Reformer Sculpt takes place on the reformer.
Pilates Sculpt is an excellent complement to yoga, running and other forms of strength training.
You don't need to be an expert – our experienced instructors will guide you through every step of the class.

What is Mat Pilates?
Mat Pilates is Pilates training performed on a mat without machines. The focus is on:
The exercises often use only body weight or small props such as balls, resistance bands, or rings, making it suitable for all levels. Mat Pilates is classic Pilates on a mat — simple, effective, and adaptable.
What is the difference between Yoga and Pilates?
Yoga combines movement, stretching, breath, and mindfulness, focusing on flexibility, balance, strength, and mental calm. It can be both dynamic (flow) and more still (meditation).
Pilates focuses on core strength, body control, and precision. Exercises can be performed on a mat or on a machine (Reformer). There is less emphasis on meditation and more on functional strength and stability.
Yoga strengthens both body and mind, while Pilates primarily strengthens the body — especially the core muscles.
Who can participate in Mat Pilates?
Everyone can practice Mat Pilates — both beginners and experienced practitioners. The exercises can be adapted so you can work at your own pace and level.
What are the benefits of Mat Pilates?
Mat Pilates improves posture, strengthens the core and muscles throughout the body, increases flexibility and balance, and enhances body awareness. It is gentle on the joints and back, while still providing an effective workout.
